yeah. you want a certain level of moisture. too wet it cakes ups and gets gooey and won't microplane. and too dry it crumbles and won' ,troubleshooting making, pressing bubble hash,second, you are probably drying it for too long. you want a very slow, gradual dry. drying it too quickly also causes it to get hard and crumbly.
